Where can I find a good pale face powder?

I have trouble finding one that just suits my fair skin, even good brands that say transculent on them sometimes look orange or tanned on me which I don't want cos the rest of me isn't tanned and I'd rather just look my natural colour.


Please suggest some good ones that aren't too pricey and won't change colour on my skin (that can happen too depending on the lighting or how oily your skin can be etc).

Ive got naturally pale skin and have the same trouble too. I tried Super Drug and went through all of the foundation available there.


I found that Collection 2000's range of liquid foundation have quite a variety. The lightest shade (01 Sheer Porcelain) is very light and matches my skin colour (might even be a shade lighter). There is also a pressed powder available from Collection 2000 in Ivory which is one or two shades lighter than Sheer Porcelain. The liquid foundation costs around £3 and the powder around £3 as well.


Also, NYC cosmetics have a loose face powder or compressed powder which come in translucent. And I mean they are REALLY Translucent. These are around £2.50-£4.00

I had the exact same problem as you for months, until i tried The Body Shop All-In-One Face Base. Im presuming your from the UK. I love this as it suits my skin really well, i choose shade three for my skin, but you sound a bit lighter than me so i would go for shade two/maybe three.


I have to say its great, i have permanent dark circles under my eyes (I get around 8-9 hours sleep each night, incase you were wondering) and this foundation works miracles.

Rimmel is pretty good if you can buy it where your from. If you can afford it the more you pay the better colouring you get btw, the staff will help you out if you ask nice enough xD I've had mine chosen for me a few times.





I have the same problem and tend to go for ivory colours during the winter, but then in summer I break out the fake tan or get a real one and then just buy darker shades.
I have quite fair skin and I recently bought 'Sheer Cover' by Guthy Renkins (or something like that) it's pretty expensive but it's really good. And you get a load of cool stuff with it like the brushes and all that I'll put a link below for you. I think it's brilliant, so maybe you should try it.
How about Ivory color in most all of them? White Rice Powder looks pale, and you can get it at Madam X's. They have one in Denver, Colorado or did. I can't remember the one I wanted to try all my life, and I never got around to it. Have a good day.

Guerlain Parure Radiance Powder Compact has really light tones and it's pretty mate. That's what I use considering that I'm as white as an aspirin.
Ohhh was going to say Dior do a great one (my daughter is very very fair) but its a bit pricey.
MAC has a great selection of colours for fair skin.
There is a great japanese brand. I cant read it now, but will edit when i find it.
