I need help finding a good face powder?

i would prefer a loose powder, and i've tried many but after a couple hours it just looks caked on, not natural. my skin is a little oily, but not dry. so if you have any suggestions on any loose powders that will not look caked on that will look just like i did as when i first put it on, even after many hours, i would love it(:

thank youI need help finding a good face powder?
Honestly, bare Minerals is the best loose powder I've ever used. You could also try the L'oreal Bare Naturale line.

The secret to it not looking cakey is starting with a little bit of product then building up if you need it. You can always add more, but taking it away is harder. Then, BUFF BUFF BUFF with the brush so you get more of the air brushed look that you're looking for.

Also, try using blotting papers instead of adding more product throughout the day. It will take away shine without making your powder go cakey.I need help finding a good face powder?
Sonia Kashuk loose powder (I use the regular loose powder, not the mineral loose powder) is awesome. I apply it with a big, poofy powder brush (ecotools) instead of a puff and it looks natural all day and doesn't get cakey at all.

You can get this powder at Target for about 7 to 8 dollars and the ecobrush also for about 6 dollars.
I use CoverGirl and it works great!

Try putting on a liquid foundation on (thinly) before you powder. This way you won't have to use as much powder and this might help with the caked-on look.

If its an option for you, you could look into powder in a compact. Since you don't get as much it prevents looking like a lot.

Hope I helped :)
i use loreal, its great! i use the mineral loose powder foundation :)

  • Can i use baby powder as an alternative after shaving my face?

i like to use talc, but it's hard to find fragrant talc as an after shave for my face nowadays in stores. i've come across some sites that say baby powder still contains talc. so i bought some baby powder with talc and i was wondering if it's useful like the old school after shave talc? Can i use baby powder as an alternative after shaving my face?
You should use After Shave Blam of Loreal, Gillette etc , They are better then lotion and Good too.

Can i use baby powder as an alternative after shaving my face?
I don't think it's a good idea as you're meant to moisturise after shaving and not dry your face up which is what talc powder will.

Any face powder suggestions for my oily face?

Please suggest some powders available here in the Philippines..Any face powder suggestions for my oily face?
Well, it's not going to make your face less oily if you put on powder. There is a mask by Clinique, it's like only $20, and it lasts a while. It's the emergency mask, it's made for oily skinned people like us, and the oily skin goes away, when you get older of course. Any face powder suggestions for my oily face?
Jane Iredale pure pressed minerals, or if that is too heavy try Jane Iredale amazing base loose mineral powder... I love it and I hate all other mineral makeup, I think they make you look cakey. But jane Iredale doesn't...the first one is too heavy for me... but is made especially for oily skin, ...Both of them do not clog your pores. you can buy both and see which one you like, you can return the other. The purepressed comes in a really pretty case too...I hated sending it back. You can get it at www.skin-one.com or at janeiredale.com, but skin-one gives you better free samples :)
I know you can order this easily. All of their products are being sold because they are trying to make a new line of products so these are cheap. Here's the mineral Powder, and the oil blotting sheets that work really well.

When you look dead. How do u know if u have applied to much loose powder to your face?
If you can actually see that there is makeup on your face - you've put on too much.
The best way not to apply too much is by making sure your using the right amount. First swirl the powder in your brush, then tap off a little (most women forget this step) and then apply in swirling motion.

You want to apply it so that you should not even notice that your wearing powder. It should just look like healthy, non oily skin!
I would take one of those maginifying mirrors. Usually, when you can see each and every piece of the powder sitting on your face, then it's too much. Also if you turn a hair dryer on low [and cool] and place it about a foot from your face then you should be able to see whether it's too much judging on whether it's visible that a lot of it is coming off.

    %26lt;3hopethathelps. [:
when you can blow it off and when it gets stuck on your hand if you barely touch it.
when you touch it with your finger or clothes and get the powder on it
if you can see the particles on your face!
pat your face is powder flies off then it is too much but if it doesnt then you are just fine!!

stand in front of a mirrior when you do it!!

dont ever ask your mom or dad they will always tell you that you are wearing to much make-up when you arent!!!
U will know just look at the mirror

and see if u look like a paiting statue

    then that is too much
If you can see the powder on your face, there's too much. If you touch it with your finger and your finger has the color on it, it's too much.

It should be applied to look and blend in as naturally as possible.

Whats better for the face Liquid or Powder foundations?

I have oily/dry skin kinda ofWhats better for the face Liquid or Powder foundations?
The simple answer is if you want more sheer, natural-looking coverage go for a liquid and if you want more matte, concealing coverage go for a powder.

If you have oily skin wear powder because it will absorb the oil. If you have oily skin and you still want to use a liquid foundation, make sure it's oil free (like Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation or MAC Studio Fix).

If you have dry skin wear a liquid because it will add shine and luminosity to your skin and won't wear off.

If you have fine lines or wrinkles don't wear a powder because it gathers in the creases and will make you look older.

Hope this helps :)Whats better for the face Liquid or Powder foundations?
if you have any dryness, please do not use a powder! it settles in the flakiness and shows up as rougher, scratchy patches on your skin.

try and find an oil-control liquid.

    maybelline pure is one option

you can also try one of clinique's liquid foundations. on their website, look for foundations labeled with II, which is a complexion oily in the T-zone, and dry in the cheeks/eyes. some clinique choices:

    1. perfectly real make-up

    2. superbalanced make-up

    3. superfit make-up

    4. stay true make-up

    5. almost make-up

those are all good choices. i have the exact same skin type, and i'm looking at the superbalanced make-up.

    good luck!
I am a huge mineral makeup advocate. It is a powder, and some people don't like that, however just blend a squirt of your facial moisturizer with it for a great liquid foundation that's good for your skin! Traditional liquid foundations have all kinds of nasty ingredients and chemicals, plus most animal test which is just awful.

    I use http://Simply-Minerals.com

It is 100% all natural, chemical free, cruelty free, and vegan!

What face powder don't block pores and causes acne or best for sensitive skin?

face powder also that can conceal little acne like pimple marks...What face powder don't block pores and causes acne or best for sensitive skin?
    causes acne ...

Oily or heavy make up: Heavy make-up clogs the pores and oily make-ups add more oil, which only adds to the problem if oily skin already exists. Cosmetics, especially certain moisturizers, foundations and pomades contain lanolin, petrolatum, vegetable oils, butyl stearate, lauryl alcohol and oleic acid.

What the skin needs is a product that clears pores and kills bacteria, thus preventing hair follicles from clogging and turning into acne. This is what you should be looking for if you want to get rid of those ugly acne.

Before trying any treatment, I suggest you read this informational source that listed the most effective acne treatments available:

I suffer from systic acne and I absolutely love Bare Minerals. The foundation is soo good and it causes no breakouts. Its around 25$ for the foundation but it lasts b/c you need very little for great coverage. My face is very scarred and discolored yet the foundation lasts for around four months.
physician's formula products are good as well and they are sold at Walmart, CVS, Target, etc.

  • What's the BEST face powder ever?!?

I want a good powder for my face. I have good skin. Not a lot of acne, not super oily, not super dry. I just want a powder that makes my skin looks radiant and flawless, but not cakey. I've usually preferred loose powders over compact powders. And I don't want one that's insanely expensive. What's the BEST face powder ever?!?
Well, unfortunately, the really good ones that have A-rated performances ARE the ones that are expensive and somebody has already suggested Bare Minerals (bare escentuals) and I 2nd that! I use their mineral foundation and their mineral veil, which is a finishing powder. I've had alot of compliments on my makeup while using it. If you do decide to stick to this type of makeup, make sure you moisturize your face and letting it set before you put on this type of make-up because it doesn't go on well when you have a dry face. Once you put on the mineral foundation and the mineral veil and it sets, your face should look flawless.

The mineral foundation runs about $25 and the mineral veil is $18.What's the BEST face powder ever?!?

My favourite powder is Cargo's Blu-Ray pressed powder. It doesn't offer a ton of coverage but it evens everything out and leaves the skin looking absolutely flawless. It's fantastic.
OMG! MAC STUDIO FIX LIQUID FOUNATION! omg, this stuff is completely amazing, it has AMAZING coverage, doesn't cause acne , non-heavy, and it doesn't look cakey! I always set the foundation with MAC studio fix powder, too. it also has coverage. :D

Bee-Luscious! No oils. No talc. NO bismuth. It's a bit more expensive but it won't clog your pores. It stays on all day and don't feel heavy on your face.

Use their papaya cleanser and scrubs that will help prevent the acne breakouts.

    http://www.beeroyalproducts.com/store/ho?/a>
    MAC is very good
I usually have terrible acne, but I switched to Bare Naturale from Loreal. It covers very well, but it also is weightless. You don't even feel like you have makeup on.
    Dermacia
I have the same problem, here are my HG products:

Skincare: Peter Thomas Roth - medicated acne scrub, spf 30 daily oil-free moisturizer. ( big bottles last long time)

Since medicated products can be very drying, I use Ponds Creme for Dry skin at night (cheap - which is good, as Peter Thomas Roth products are little expensive, moisturizes well and does not clog pores).

foundation: Oil- free water based Make Up For Ever Face and Body foundation. ( these stuff is great!!! It gives me that flawless ';cover'; look.. a must have for me)

    good luck
    clinique tinted moisturizer won't clog.
it all depends on the coverage and effect that you are looking to achieve. a good primer will always protect your skin and make your foundation last all day without a single touch up. mac prep %26amp; prime is fantastic. it contains silicone particles that will 'fill' any gaps in the skin withoug clogging, and calm ary redress down too. put this on under your foundation, just think of it like an undercoat. i havent used it but smashbox photo finish is meant to be good too.

minerals foundations are fantastic, they give a smooth even coverage, providing you apply it correctly. just dont use the applicator that you get with it, as its normally of quite bad standard. and use swirling motions to apply it.

liquid foundations are also good to use, as long as you use the right one for your skintype. if you are prone to break outs buy an oil free foundation (it will state this) would be the best one for you, i use laura mercier and i love it. and i have bad acne, if you are unsure go to your local department store and look at what brands you know and ask the consulant questions and they will help you look for a foundation to suit. just remember to look at all the options, as some consultants are paid commission on sales and will try to pressure you into buying their brand. mac, stila, and nars dont give their staff commisson but benefit do. for the record benefit foundation isnt good, it lasts five minutes
Bare Minerals (or essentials) is the best foundation for anyone of any skin color. It's all minerals! I have not picked up a bottle of liquid foundation since I have found Bare Minerals. Liquid is bad for your skin, it includes talc and all the other bad stuff. I highly recommend Bare Minerals. Or, if you want something cheaper, Maybelline %26amp; Loreal also have mineral foundation that ranges from $12-$6. Go to a drugstore or sephora, depending on your cost range. If you are looking for liquid foundation though, you might want to try Neutrogena. In the skin department, I would go to my doctor and get a perscribed acne gel for night. I know how annoying acne can be.

    Good Luck
Arbonne International has amazing products - they do not use mineral oil which can be a big clogging factor. They also do not use animal by-products. I use the Line Defiance with SPF 15 and have no trouble with breakouts - I also have a really good skin care regimen with them that has made tons of difference! At a minimum you want to wash, use a toner, and moisturize.

How can I make my powder look less powdery on my face?

    I use:

    http://www.maybelline.com/Product/Face/Powder/dream-matte-powder.htm

I really like it so I don't want to change it. But, it looks so powdery when I put it on. I use a Kabuki brush to apply it. Any tips? How can I make my powder look less powdery on my face?
use a larger brush and tap off the excess powder into the container before appling. you might need to layer a few times, but you wont look ';caked';How can I make my powder look less powdery on my face?
okay , do you use a moisturizer ?? That will help w/ the powdery look a lot. also, if you can find a decent dept store primer, it will cut down on that powdery look.. Revlon has a primer but I am not sure if Maybelline carries one.

Moisture is the key w/ powder makeup. Your skin is too dry and thus you have the powdery look. Find a good one you can live w/ and apply and wait long enough for it to absorb. It might take a few times before you see continuous results. Skin that is not properly moisturized takes awhile before getting the achieved look. A moisturizer w/ no oil will also work. Hope I could help :)
all i have to say is that's what the maybelline mineral makeup is like. I have tried all kinds of makeup from avon to the most expencive chanel. I have found that if you want mineral makeup you need to go through everyday minerals, thats what they do best. Try them and see if you get the same reaction. You can get a samples for $5 for around 6 pots so give them a go.
Use a large fluffy brush to apply it, kabuki brushes might be a bit too dense for some powder.
You should maybe try another powder or put less of it on. And I use the brush that it comes with.
tap the brush before you apply it that way you don't put on more than you need.
    put a small amount

just tap the excess from the brush
try using a moisturizing cream before your put your foundation
    buy new powder!!!!

I 2nd Laguna by NARS. MAC has some good ones out right now also!
    Try Everyday Bronzer by everydayminerals.com.
    NARS in ';Laguna';
first off, if it's making you look orange, you're using way too much. just brush some on top of your cheekbones and that's plenty.

    here's what you're looking for http://sephora.com/browse/product.jhtml??/a>
the MAC bronzer is amazing..i use it in golden.
There's a good one at Costco...it's the Borgese brand, but it's definitely not orangey. I love it!
I absolutely suggest Benefit products, their range is amazing and flawless.. a little on the expensive side but if you want a natural and non- permanent glowing tan powder I would suggest either Hoola or Dallas..they are about £20 each but last all year coz you don't need to use too much.. hope this helps! :)
try covergal but i never get wat bronzer is for o wellzz

    good luck
I am a pale person so I have always had problems finding bronzing powders that gave me a glow instead of an orange tint.. They all seemed real uneven as well! Arbonne has a no sun intended, bronzing powder that will give you color that sparkles and glows, naturally with ingredients like rosemary and chamomile.. Good luck you can e mail me or just go to arbonne.com for more info. Oh also Arbonne does not use talc in any of their products. Talc is a white base that cause fading and creasing and the good ol orange look..
Try Cover Girl Bronzers, they give you a brown look.
Have you tried Body Shop Bronzing Beads, they give a nice bronze effect without the orange
I chuck mud at my face for that brown look...... i never find i have a problem with looking too orange :-D
Fake bake compact and stop using the sunbed cause thats what is makeing you look orange

Can You Recommend a Organic Face Foundation or Powder To Me?

physicians formula makes some. I never tried them though so i cant say if they are good or not.Can You Recommend a Organic Face Foundation or Powder To Me?
Any type of mineral foundation will do it, Mineral foundation is the best, fortanatly the main brands seemed to have cottoned onto this so most make-up brands make mineral make-up now, these are free from harmful ingredients and oils so healthier for your skin. Mineral foundations give very good coverage but don't feel heavy or clog pores as other foundations can, if you suffer from spots this is perfect as it covers the spots without causing more. For specifically organic, try Bare Minerals SPF15 Foundation http://www.bareminerals.com it's not too expensive and lasts a long time, or I'm currently using Maybelline Pure Foundation Mineral which is a nicer texture to some of the other brands. Maybelline also do a pressed powder and liquid mineral foundations so whatever type of foundation you like to use they'll have a mineral version. Can You Recommend a Organic Face Foundation or Powder To Me?

I would say use a powder for an oily face. Liquid will make it look more oily.

Apply a whole load of powder (pressed or loose) then apply your eyeshadow. Then when you have finished applying your eyeshadow just brush off the powder. Also use a primer (like Urban Decay Primer Potion) which may reduce the amount of fallout coming from the eyeshadow.
either put some tissue under youre eye when you put it on or put some translucent powder under your eyes and wipe off after youve done
Try putting on your eyeliner before you do your foundation.
    i hateee that

I would make sure that both are noncomedogenic and won't clog pores. I use SPF 45 on my face every day and then put either powder or liquid makeup over it.
Yeah, that's the best way to do it, the powder finishes off the look, seals the cream in and stops it from looking oily =]
I read that it's fine yesterday on MSN. As a matter of fact they suggest before you put the powder on that you set your blow dryer to cool and use it on your face. That way the cream sets properly and then it will still work after you put the powder on your face.
its fine.. the uv face creme will still work.. just dont rub ur face

I've found that the Mineral powders seem to be the best. The look the most natural and keep your face from shining. Try looking into Sheer Cover or Bare Minerals. What is the best Foundation and powder that doesnt make face oily??
I'm with Christine. I've always used Covergirl. It's lightweight and has always performed the way I want. What people need to understand is that the oil that your face generates actually can help keep your skin healthy and younger looking. DO NOT get into all these makeups for extremely oily skin or it will dry your face too much and cause premature wrinkles. I'm 34 turning 35 in Dec and barely have a wrinkle on my face. Just lightly blot the excessive oil from your face several times a day (it takes seconds) and apply a light powder. It keeps the excess oil from clogging your pores if you blot first. Most people still think I'm in my mid twenties. They are surprised when they find out my actual age. A good friend of mine's father was a dermatologist and I learned that bit of information when I was 16. It really works. I'd swear by it. And don't feel bad about using moisturizer at night. I don't do it every night but at least 2-3 times a week.

I've tried the bare minerals and I wasn't crazy about it but that may be a good solution for you. It's worth a try but don't forget to blot!!!!! lol
Honestly, I've used everything from liquids to powders to creams, the absolute best make up I've had yet is mineral make up. Powders look cakey, liquid foundation smears and can look very unnatural. Mineral make up is light feeling yet conceals great and looks natural. Check out sheercover.com or look up Bare Minerals on sephora.com - Those are 2 of the best
I started using Prescriptives products years ago, on the advice of a dermatologist. A bit pricey, yes, but if you go to the Prescriptives counter, the consultant will find just the right shade and type of foundation for you. Give it a try; I think you'll be pleased--and, as they say, you're worth it. :-)

believe me i had the same problem as you hah but not anymore =]

im not sure how much it is, my mom buys it for me.

but you could check out the website :)
Bare Escentuals, Sheer cover, physicians formula %26amp; MAC face powders are good for that.

All though, they're not that cheap.. but the good stuff never is.

There also is powder by Covergirl that's relatively good. It's lose powder, not a compact. The name isn't coming to me right now.
rimmel powder is great and long lasting

What is the best Foundation and powder that doesnt make face oily??

Im light brown and I want a nice soft foundation that doesnt make my face greasy and heavy and stays for a long time??What is the best Foundation and powder that doesnt make face oily??

I think Brie's got a good idea, too, about the Bare Minerals.
try Covergirl ';clean makeup'; pressed powder and water-based foundation
Clinique oil free foundation and powder.

What do you do with face powder?

I was going to buy some but I just want to be sure what you have to do ...

THANKS! ^^)What do you do with face powder?
Well some people use it as foundation so their face looks one good color. And some people contour their face with a brownish color to make it look supermodelish

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWvyYju4A?/a>What do you do with face powder?
Pressed powder is just kinda to touch up your face throughout the day, or help conceal blemishes that the concealer and foundation didn't completely conceal.

I always apply concealer first, then foundation, and then sometimes a little pressed powder.
i recommend buying a shade darker that your foundation, buy a big brush, the one that comes with it sucks and just sweep on over the foundation, don't use too much and blend down the neck.

i used to work for estee lauder as a makeup artist. good luck!
well you could use powder instead of liquid foundation.

It feels much fresher and looks and feels more natural .. :)

just powder your face ! =)

I think liquid foundation feels all cakey and sticky nd horrible , eurgh

powder is great ,, hope i helped x
concealer, then foundation, then powder, with blush on top
you put it on after your liquid foundation goes on. its used to set the make up for a longer more natural looking look :)
    Face it!
    dhu!! put on you face
    put it on your face?

Is it okay to mix face powder w/ moisturizer?

I think you may want to ask a different question...is your skin dry or looking like a mask when you put your powder on? Why would you want to do this?Is it okay to mix face powder w/ moisturizer?
preferably u should add a bit of garlic to the mixture and a pinch of pepper. That should make u look spicy..Is it okay to mix face powder w/ moisturizer?
You either need a moisturizing face powder or you are applying it too heavily. Use a good, full brush and dust lightly or if you are using a powder puff, make sure it is clean and dry and use the product sparingly.
You can, but it ends up looking kind of cakey. I don't recommend it.
Do you mean will it explode? No.

Will it make a pasty mess? Yes.
This doesn't sound okay. What you can use to not have that fuzz look is liquid foundation. If you don't mind the liquid foundation, instead of powder, you can also try a tinted moisturizer with SPF. Mary Kay has both of these wonderful products. You can check them out on a consultant website.
sure...if you want to have biscuit dough for makeup. Tyr a cream to powder foundation

How do I fully wash powder off of my face?

Every time I put powder of my face (like...a powdery version of foundation, haha) it won't completely wash off until like...3 days later. And I can't use any type of face wash, even for sensitive skin, it makes my skin angry. Also, I'm going to the dermatologist tomorrow, and I want him to see my skin without ANY makeup.

Is there a way I can completely get it off without face wash? Water doesn't work too well...How do I fully wash powder off of my face?
lotion can work with most stuff, just be careful what you use, make sure it's unscented since that can irritate skin, and you probably want one for sensitive skin if face wash makes you break out (or makes your skin angry as you put it, lol) and then wash your face with warm water and a washcloth.

Also I know people who use astringent (you can get it anywhere, like walmart, see link) on their face, if you have acne or just oily skin, it cleans your skin really good, (stings a little) you might want to try that. It's probably the different perfumes and scented stuff thats irritating your skin.

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/product.d?/a>

i use this stuff sometimes, it makes your skin feel all super clean. How do I fully wash powder off of my face?
Use lotion for sensitive skin. And try not using lotion that's to, er, perfumy.

Just put some of it on a cloth, napkin, toilet paper, etc., then rub it into the cloth a little bit. Then sweep it around your face, especially where the foundation powder is. Check the cloth to see if it's coming off. If it isn't try a smidgen more of lotion. Wash your face with water afterward, if you don't like lotion on your face.

I do this all the time, and I have some what sensitive skin. It works really well! You can do this with eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc. Just be careful not to get it in your eyes. Ha ha, I've done that, not fun.

Anyways, with your face wash, you should find a face wash for sensitive skin, or find a good face soap.

And one last thing, you should lightly wash your face with water and pat your face dry before using the lotion to get the powder foundation off.

    Hope I helped! (:
How about using a facial cleanser! They really do clear your face!
try rubbing lotion all over your face, then rinsing it all off with water.

it sounds weird, but greasy things such as lotion are really good at removing makeup.

How much can you expect to spend at the mall on a brush and a basic face powder?

You can check prices online, such as Clinique, Bare Escentuals, etc before hitting the mall! How much can you expect to spend at the mall on a brush and a basic face powder?
for a brush: maybe $12-15...if you go to Sephora it will probably be like $20ish

makeup: totally depends on the brand you buy...you can find ones for $20 probably but there are also other ones that are like $45 there's a huge range...sorry i couldnt be more exact

  • Why is my powder stinging my face?

For some reason, my powder [[which is pressed, not loose]] hurt my face a little when I put it on. It hasn't done this before. I was crying about an hour ago and then I took a shower, maybe all that moisture did something to my skin? I'm just curious. Why is my powder stinging my face?
Crying often leaves the face inflamed and sensative. Since you had been crying earlier I would wait a day or two and give it one more try. If the powder still irritates you throw it out. There is the possibility that bacteria has grown in the makeup or you may have developed a sensativity. Our bodies change over time so somthing that was fine one day may cause problems the next. Why is my powder stinging my face?
    idk stop using it
you could just be irritated by the product, i wouldnt use it anymore if it hurts. duh, hehe
your skin was probably just very sensitive, but i would stop using the powder if it were me.

if you can afford it, go to a department store and buy some nice powder form Clinique or Clarins (i would suggest Clarins, but i', biased, lol) or the like. they should have something for sensitive skin.

    good luck with it!
Is it something you have used before? If not check the label, is there paraben in it. Lots of people are allergic to parabin. Also it could be a new face wash, or your face could be chapped and the powder dried your skin out even more. In any case for the next day or two stay away from that makeup ( not hard I'm sure) and maybe start washing your face with Cetephyll ( Wal-mart and Target have generic brand that work just fine too) Cetephyll is hypo-allergenic and will help your skin recover. Its really a great product. After that test a small area of your face and see if it burns or turns red,if so then you might want to consider using a mineral based product or at least something paraben free and hypo-allergenic.

Okay, I wear powder on my face. Why do I get so much acne?

I wet the face sponge and squeeze the water out and put powder on it then I apply it on my face. Is the powder making me get acne? Other people wear it and don't get acne. Please give me your opinion, ThanksOkay, I wear powder on my face. Why do I get so much acne?
i know the answer to that. powder clogs up your pous. you should always use a liquid cover up and wash it off at night before you go to bed.Okay, I wear powder on my face. Why do I get so much acne?
acne is built up toxins on the inside from processed foods and products with harsh chemicals can aggravate and cause skin to purge itself of these toxins

long term best care: flush the body with warm fluids to get blood flowing and circulating and metabolizing and avoid processed foods

immediate care: Dr. Murad/salycilic acid products with herbals/mineral type natural makeup/sulfur based products with herbals/eggs on skin/organic plain yogurt on skin

www.christinacosmetics.com - for all in one makeup

take a look at what organic shops have
well, i know that whenever i wear powder or face paint (stage makeup) i break out. I think that the powder clogs you pores, and some people may have reactions to it. You might try powders that are advertised as ';non comedogenic'; so they wont clog your pores, or sensitive skin varieties.
Do you wash off your make up at night? If you don't, this could be a major factor! When you don't take it off, the make-up clogs your pores and that is wat creates acne! Hope this helps and hope it clears up!
its not the makeup. make sure you wash your face in the morning and night with a scrub like st ives apricot scrub. also acne can run in families so it might not be your fault. or you should go to a dermatologist.
Please tell me that you wash your face 2 time a day with cleanser, toner, and moisturizer. If not then that's why.

It is not good for you to sleep with make up on you face. It's clogges your pores. Your pores rejuvenate themselves at night when your body is more relaxed.

For ladies that wear make up you have to clean your face properly for mistakes like this happens.

do you use foundation powder or translucent prowder? but either way you have to clean your face before applying make-up and also to remove it.
to the person that said acne is toxins that's baloney.

Anyway, wash and moisturize, wash your sponges!!, use an oil-free makeup or better yet a mineral powder. wash your hands before you do your makeup, don't touch your face during the day, dirty phones can also give you skin problems... Oh and finally make sure your makeup isn't old, that stuff gets nasty after a time.

Don't forget to add a little blush and lip gloss..And mascara while your at it!! Good luck..Hope it works!! :)Can i use talcum as a face powder, like instead of ?
I do that when I'm in a rush, it caused no irritation for me.

Just use a little bit and blend it in, you might be sensitive to it and it could pale you out if you use to much.

MAC studio fix powder. What is a good face powder or w/e?
i really think u can get a liquid foundation and use it as a concealer then put maybelline mineral foundation over it.

liquid foundation is kinda scary, but it really is amazing. (maybelline mousse is great)
Try the CoverGirl Aquascience Concealer. It's in a compact with a smooth water based formula and it's easy to carry with. Great coverage.

What is the best face powder?

I need a face powder to set my foundation and make it really matte looking. Preferably in a really light/translucent shade? The lower the price the better. If you could list pros and cons etc I'd really appreciate it. Also, bear in mind I'm from the UK

Thanks :)What is the best face powder?
Look for a good mineral makeup for that! A lot of women recommend Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover, but there are plenty of other VERY GOOD companies out there that make quality mineral makeup for a portion of their costs.

You can check out CoconutBayCosmetics.com or even do a quick search on eBay or Google for mineral makeup. Look for a sheer mineral veil to set your foundation -- minerals look great over mostly all foundations! Plus they're natural and won't cause any unnecessary stress to your face.

Good luck! What is the best face powder?
The Body Shop actually have a really good quality loose powder, if you use a powder brush to apply this it will give you that matte look you are looking for, and the brush will also prevent the powder looking cakey around your nose or chin. It may seem expensive but it's quite a big pot, it lasts me ages and I use it daily. It also has a plastic sifter so you don't waste any. Shade ';02'; is very light.

    http://www.thebodyshop.co.uk/bin/venda?e?/a>

MAC do have a slightly better one, but it is more expensive which is not so good.

    http://www.maccosmetics.co.uk/templates/?/a>
I have used many powders and by far the best one is deffo Maybelline New York's Dream Matte powder. It's a little expensive at £6.99 but worth every penny. It really does give you an airbrushed feel on your skin. It also has a handy compartment that you slide out from underneath which has a mirror and the applicator in it. V good.
a pricey one would be mineral veil by bare minerals. A cheaper one is the true match face powders. They do a very good job with theyre powders

  • I have really greasy/oily skin, is there a foundation or face powder that will prevent this all day?

Hello~ So believe it or not oily skin is controllable and tolerable. It's all about moisturizer. Remember when you wake up the most important thing is to wash your face and then make sure you have a really good moisturizer on before you do anything else. I recommend an oil control based moisturizer such as MAC daily oil control or Clinique has a really good one as well. Then you need a mattifier that will help keep your oil in check all day. I have tried so many products out there for this very same problem and I found that again MACs mattifying gel works wonders all day long but another good one is Mary Kay Mattifying lotion. If you don't want a foundation then I would suggest going with a mineral based power, it's light and powder helps to absorb some of the oil during the day. If you do wear a foundation make sure you have a powder to follow as well because this is really going to set your makeup and make it less likely to become shiny and oily.

Just remember that your skin has to have moisture and if you don't have a good lotion then it will over compensate and create more oil to keep your skin lubricated. So always apply lotion after you wash your face morning and night. Very important to control the balance of oily greasy skin.

Good luck, I hope this helped!I have really greasy/oily skin, is there a foundation or face powder that will prevent this all day?
You want to use a foundation and powder that does not contain any oil. Clinique offers what they call a pore minimizer foundation. It is literally water and powder mixed together and you dab it on with a cottonball. They also have a foundation called ';stay true'; that is not oil based. There are powders too that are specifically for oily skin (though I reccomend loose powder).

Another very important thing is to be sure you are using a good skin care program designed for oily skin. There are several out there. Again, clinique is my personal favorite, but you can try other like Clarins, etc.I have really greasy/oily skin, is there a foundation or face powder that will prevent this all day?
I haven't used any foundation or powder that works for that. I tried some oil control moisturizer from Origins once that seemed to help for a few hours.

Your skin makes extra oil because it's dry. I know it sounds ridiculous, but you need some kind of moisturizer to help it balance. It's going to feel icky and heavy for a few weeks but after you get used to it, things will even out.

What I used to do was put baby powder on a cotton ball and dab it on my T-Zone. That covered the shine for several hours. What you have to be careful of there is drying out too much. After a week of doing that every day my skin started cracking and peeling. It was itchy and it burned. I was pulling too much oil out of my skin and had to end up using moisturizer to balance it out. I should have been doing that all along.
OMG! i have the exact problem! I don't use a special super expensive powder. but before you put your make up on, take lemon juice and water and put it on your face using a cotton ball, let it dry and then put your powder on don't put anything heavy because it will look cakey, unless you want to buy the ';maybellin Matte mousse'; it works wonders over the lemon juice and water. but don't use too much of the lemon juice cause it will dry out your face.! good luck!@
You should just really wash your face every day.Sometimes when it's hot outside you set and then your hair sticks to you and you get greasy. Also if you blow dry, straighten, or curl your hair it can also make your face a little greasy because it sticks and rubs off on it. If you are still really concerned about this next time you go to a salon ask them and they can give you some great tips.
Foundation/Powder will make your skin worse because it's covering the bacteria/pores. Instead try this face wash called 'Cetaphil'. I used it for over 5 years and still is! It makes my face moisturized, soft, clean and can be a makeup remover. It's great for sensitive skin and it's not harsh on skin. You can buy it at wal-mart!
try using a toner after washing your face.

Try a translucent powder as well that might help.

E.L.F has a really good cheap one and you can read peoples reviews on it to decide whether you want it or not.

I recommend it, I also have greasy/oily skin.
    Have you tried Oxy?

I used to have oily skin on my nose so I started using them. They recommend using two a day but I got by with only using one.

They are relativity cheap compared to other products too. I used the whips not the cream.
Use Mineral Powder It works great with oily skin trust me.

    You Can get some from:

I like bareMinerals for the coverage. A little goes a really long way, but I've not found a powder that beats it (although I've heard good things about Jane Iredale).

How can you evenly apply face powder?

tips?? i hate it when you can see where people stopped and started putting on their powder. THXX

no rude comments too ;)How can you evenly apply face powder?
Use a Kabuki brush designed fr the purpose.

    Here are a few that have had good reviews;

Everyday Minerals Long Handled Kabuki. (tad smaller than most but can hit those small spots)

    Sephora Brand Professionnel Kabuki Brush

    Kabuki from A-Squirrel

    Smashbox 19

The NARS Botan Brush (described by a reviewer as soft, thick, feels like the top of a cat's head) is the penultimate-expensive but worth it.How can you evenly apply face powder?
I've noticed that too! But, I've learned the secret to an even face. ;]

Those make-up applicator pads are the likely cause for the uneven mess. If you're going to use them, you have to apply a color that matches your skin in slow, circular motions ALL OVER your face. You can't apply it to one area. Otherwise, you'll look clean in one spot and not in the other.

The best way to go about it is with a brush. Go for a cresent moon shapped one, where the bristles come out and finish the circle. Those work best. You don't have to make circles all over your face! Just put it on and you're good to go!

    Hope that helped ... :]
purposely put it on certain areas like skin blemishes. i find the best coverage when i brush it on in circular movements, then get rid of any powder off your brush once you've gone over your whole face and quickly and lightly brush all over.
What type of powder, the pressed or loose? Either way, use a big fluffy brush and dust it on. I like to apply it on my neck as well.
Use a big poofy makeup brush instead of that little one that sometimes comes with the powder. It will spread more evenly and not look streaky.

What face powder is better, Clinique or MAC?

it depends on ur skin type....if you have more oily skin than you would want to use clinique because they make water based products that dont add oil to your face and they dont cause your pores to be clogged. mac on the other hand does not make a water based powder..so it more depends on your skin type..i like clinique betterWhat face powder is better, Clinique or MAC?
my mom used Clinique so i'm guessing that's the better face powderWhat face powder is better, Clinique or MAC?
    MAC most def.
I personally use Clinique. Its oil free and the foundations have SPF in them. THe price may be a little over the top, but its worth it!

I'll try MAC one of these days tho.
    clinique.
    Mac for sure.
    MAC
well clinic is more like a natural look n mac is diffent

i myself prefer mac i use the liquid foundation 1st n then the loose powder i like the look it gives me
    Clinique
    MAC... better quality, too.
i like big mac because you can eat it later
Clinique. It is not too thin, or thick. Just perfect.
Max Factor or Elizabeth Arden. Trust me on this.
good: mac it has a variety of colors

but clinique is better because it moistureizes at the same time

Which one is stronger, liquid sunscreen or face powder with sunscreen??

which one is stronger to protect your face from UV rays??

liquid sunscreen or face powder with sunscreen protection inside it??Which one is stronger, liquid sunscreen or face powder with sunscreen??
Liquid is definetly, but its HORRIBLE for your face. It shall cause beastly breakouts.Which one is stronger, liquid sunscreen or face powder with sunscreen??
Definitely liquid, powder does not stay on as well because it just sits on your face where liquid penetrates. I have fair skin and I use Mary Kay Daily Moisturizer with spf 25 and i do not burn whatsoever with it, even in the hot sun. You must completely cover your face and don't forget your nose. No breakouts either like some of the tanning creams for face. You should wear yearound since you can burn even in winter.
Liquid sunscreen, it absorbs/bonds better to your skin to help protect you from the sun.

What's the reason behind the production of body and face powder?

I'm not quite sure what kind of answer you are looking for. But if you want to know why it is made and what it is used for, it is made because people apply it to their skin to absorb wetness and oil. Girls apply it to their face to absorb oils and keep their skin from looking shiny. People apply it after showers to absorb moister from their skin before they get dressed.

How to be beutiful with lip gloss and face powder?

I think powder and lip gloss are the perfect combination on summer days. Your face is usually already sun kissed so there isn't a lot of need to apply a lot of make up. Also, alot of make up and heat + humidity = one big mess! So, its important to use the right shades of each. The powder should match your complexion. It should make your face look polished or finished not colorful orange or anything like that. The lip gloss is really your choice. Do something bright for adventure or tone it down with a more natural color. The choice is yours! How to be beutiful with lip gloss and face powder?
Make sure you get a shade of lip gloss that compliments your face, and try to get powder that won't make your face look ridiculous. How to be beutiful with lip gloss and face powder?
    Ummm ok
just make sure that your powder is evenly spread on your face. oh yeah, put a bit more to your t-zone area coz it is the most oily part of your face.

to your lip gloss, pick reddish, pink or peachy.
Just use the right equal amount

    Which face powder is better?

I want to know from everyone which powder had better coverage. mini translucent powder or the powder in a compact?Which face powder is better?
powder in a compact. translucent is more to absorb oilWhich face powder is better?
powder in a compact because it obsorbs more oil. translucent powder is designed to make it look like you don't have any on so it doesn't cover anything.
    Powder in a compact.

It was the Everly Brothers and it's called ';Don't Ever change';. I have it on the Bear Family box set. I tried to post a link to the song for you to listen and confirm but I can't seem to find one on the Net.

Face powder and foundation for humid weather?

is there a good face powder for humid weather that stays on all day and dsnt need reapplying:) is mac studio fix powder any good in this respect?? also would like a foundation( liquid preferably) but which one?? thanx in advanceFace powder and foundation for humid weather?
Try Benefit. They have amazing foundation that works in humidity. I use to live in florida and wouldn't walk out of the house with out using their product. You can find it at sephora or macy'sFace powder and foundation for humid weather?
I believe the best foundation or humid weather is Bare Minerals.. I FELL in love with Bare Minerals.. when it was summer and hot as hell..

when having it on it felt like i didn't have no make up on.. it was the best thing .. i loved it.
I DONT KNOW WHY GIRLS FEEL ITS A need TO HAVE FOUNDATION ON. NO MATTER WHAT U USE, HOW EXPENSIVE, WHAT BRAND ETC, IT ALL LOOKS LIKE CRAP IN THE SUNLIGHT. UR BEST BET WOULD BE TO GET A TINTED MOISTURIZER BECAUSE EVEN WITH FLAWS, NATURAL SKIN LOOKS GREAT IN THE SUN.
She is right, just use some spf. expicaly if you are in a humid climate. A light tan looks good and makes your skin glow.
    mineral makeup.
bare minerals sucks it doesn't work as amazing as its made out to be.

  • What if i use oatmeal as face powder?

i think oats soak up oil and if i grind them to a powder and put it on my face as makeup, wont that work? i hate buying powder at stores and not knowing what the heck is all that crap they put in it...What if i use oatmeal as face powder?
Oatmeal actually works fairly well as a mask treatment (an informative article with some recipes: http://www.thriftyfun.com/tf62201703.tip?/a> , but you wouldn't want to use it as a makeup.

Use oil control face products like a cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, and you should be okay with using store-bought makeup.

There are all-natural formulas of face makeup, if you're really concerned about it you could talk to a makeup representative at the counters at Macy's or something. What if i use oatmeal as face powder?
Oatmeat turns to a type of jelly goo on your skin i've noticed. BUT-

You can buy cornstarch made from babies bottoms and use that on your face. Not the food grade kind but the kind for babies diapers. It's formulated for human skin and natural. DON'T US TALC its a toxic mineral.
I don't think it will look very good. You should try it at home a few times before you walk out in public that way. Also, why not try buying natural, organic, or mineral powder if you want to avoid chemicals?
they have organic make up... idk about oatmeal poweder
idk i guess the only way to c if it works it to try it.
i guess that would work if you make sure have the right shade and stuff.
    do it

What are the best face powder (pressed powder) brands?

should be available in metro manila..

also, i have oriental skin. so i need a shade that will suit me.

best if it's under 200 pesos :)What are the best face powder (pressed powder) brands?
well I'm not sure how many pesos it would cost but there are a lot of brands that make decent makeup. I'm a fan of clinique which have a wide range of shades. If you are looking for something that walmart or a drugstore would sell I used to use maybelline or covergirl they aren't too bad and also come in a wide variety of colors and finishesWhat are the best face powder (pressed powder) brands?
    MAC - it's the best
    MAC or Lancome
i use Dior... i love it.

Does wearing powder and foundationdamage my face?

I have very good skin and my mother tells me how much she admires my skin colour .. but if i wear powder n foundation will it damage my face .. i f it does i'd rather wear none of that stuff on

I've also heard foundation will ruin your face if wearing on a daily basis .. is it the same with powder .. im speaking of estee lauder powder?Does wearing powder and foundationdamage my face?
probably not as long as you remember to take it off before you go to bed and apply moisturiser before you put it on :)Does wearing powder and foundationdamage my face?
    no it dosnt at all.

just make sure you moisturize before (:
If you have good skin and nice skin tone why would you bother wearing makeup in the first place?

Any product on the face can cause build up of oils if it's not a breathable product, but generally speaking it shouldn't damage your face if you cleanse properly, unless you have a tendency to have reactions to facial products.
Foundation takes the color away of your face and can possibly clog some pores. I would wear foundation if I were you or wear it only once in a while.
it will not ruin your face. the worst thing that will happen is you will breakout if you leave it on to long. One way to avoid this is wipe your face with clearasil cleansing pads before you go to bed.
You are blessed with good skin, and if you want to keep it that way then I suggest you continue to wear what you want, but start a skin care regimen such as Daily moisturizer with spf, a cleanser, exfoliate 1x a week and never ever go to bed with makeup!
i think the word 'damage' is a bit harsh. your skin wont change much as long as you take your make up off before bed and dont cake it on.

some powders contain harmful chemicals that can cake your face and stop your pores from 'breathing'. this can make you break out or enlarge pores or dry skin etc.

same can be said for liquid foundations, they mask the face.

but none will actually ruin your face.

however, if you want a bit of coverage and are worried, you should try mineral make up.

there are loooads of brands that now use mineral powders and they are really good.

they contain minerals instead of harmful chemicals.

ive been using 'pur minerals' for some time now and have found that it helps my skin while giving me coverage and a glow :)
If you have really good skin, why not just use a tinted moisturizer. It will still even out your skin tone and give you some coverage but it won't be as heavy compared to using foundations.
no, you could use any foundation with your skin type, wipe it off before you go to bed and put moisteriser on (thats what i do),

    hope i helped

    xxx
If you're a teenager then yes, it can cause breakouts and acne.
The worst it can do is make you break out, but if you wash it off you'll be fine. Think of it this way...if it was that bad for your skin, so many girls wouldn't be wearing it.
Not unless you don't take it off.

I am going to a party as a bunny i need some face paint or whit face powder?

hi i am going to a party as a bunny and i going to have my face painted but first i need some face paint. i only have about £3.00 to spend on it were can i get some i live in england. and what is white face powder

hope you can help please reply asap thanksI am going to a party as a bunny i need some face paint or whit face powder?
There a british makeup range called stargazer. They do a foundation thats ACTUALLY white (i know its not a powder but it works just as well). Its really good!!

Its £4, and they sell it in alternative shops. Im not sure if you have a shop called blue banana by you? they sell it in there, and most other alternative places. They sell stargazer in new look too, but i dont think they have the foundation. If you cant find it in the shops you can buy it here:

    http://www.bluebanana.cc/catalog/product?/a>

Good luck and have fun at the party!!I am going to a party as a bunny i need some face paint or whit face powder?
don't spend any money. Go to a Sephora counter or any other big makeup counter at a drugstore. Use the 'testers' of their palest, lightest foundation. apply - then you can use a very light powder, or even cornstarch dusted on your face to look whiter. Fake, bright white face paint looks horrid and will 100% guaranteed make your teeth look very, very yellow. Not attractive. Just go with really pale makeup. Look at sophie ellis bextor or photos of goths when the flash goes off.

    White as anything.
do you have any party stores? They will definitely have everything you need for parties, including costumes, makeup, and face paint. Or, you can check your local dollar store.
You risk being thrown out on your A*** if you try to make up your face for free with testers why not buy childrens face paints they are cheap you only risk a long lasting skin rash.

Powder will last about five minutes you need grease paint.

What's the best face pressed powder for oily, acne prone skin?

Personally I have found (personal use) and know a lot of friends that love Mark-Mattenificent Pressed Powder. It's awesome! What's the best face pressed powder for oily, acne prone skin?
so far i've liked Merle Norman Luxiva Ultima foundation/powder. u wet the sponge and u get really good coverage, and so far i don't feel it has aggravated my skin. i have even repurchased it a few times so i know it works very well. i still have acne, but i am trying to heal it with Cetaphil and Aveeno lotion, occasionally exfoliating w/ baking soda and cetaphil, or dissolved uncoated aspirin masks w/ honey. good luck! What's the best face pressed powder for oily, acne prone skin?
Mac Powder is the best for shine control. Have you ever thought of switching to loose powder. If you apply it with a fluuffy brush and then blend it in, loose powder has a more natural glow. I like the Cover Girl loose powder in tawny
    Bare esentials from QVC.COM

    or

Clinique pressed powder from any department stor ie.belks, jcpennys, macys
I have tried numerous pressed powders, and i found that Clinique has the best oil absorbing powder.

It also goes on evenly and actually helps my skin!

i also have a nice glow, but no oil!!!!!!

hope i helped and good luck!
One I really like is Corn Silk Matte. It's great for oily skin, gives me a nice matte finish, and has never broken me out. It comes in a few colors, or you can get the Translucent. This is the Matte version, not the Original Corn Silk. Nice stuff for the money. You can get it at Walmart, CVS, etc.
Try Bear Essential cosmetics line, the best way to get this product for less of a price is on QVC.com
almay clear complexion works nicely. it has a little bit of salicylic acid and that helps with the acne. i suggest you frequently wash your brushes or replace the powder puffs every day (you could also use cotton pads instead of the puffs).
MAC Blot Powder (Pressed) - this absorbs all the oiliness on your face but has no pigment so it will not even out your skintone. It's best used over a foundation (works really well over MAC Studio Fix) to get the best results.

Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder - this is a really excellent product because the color selection is very good, the quality of the product is outstanding for its price. The coverage is decent enough to even out your skintone and has a silky finish that takes away the shiney look.
MAC powder its called studio fix, and is also a cover up so for light makeup days it is perfect,a nd you dont have to wear a foundation, so it helps with acne.
Try Lancome you can purchase it at a macy's my girlfriend had the same problem and she thought it was great. I have also used it and it is very good. It is a powder but also you can put a few drops of water on it and it becomes a face makeup. I think it's about $25 or $30 but it's worth it
    Natural collection £1.99 from Boots

What MAC Face Powder Works Best?

    Hi,

I can't decide what MAC face powder to buy. Which one works best? All I want is a nice, Natual finished look with a radiant glow. My nose does get oily, so it'd be nice if it stopped oil too, without looking cakey. Any suggestions? What MAC Face Powder Works Best?
I'm partial to Studio Fix, but I don't have oily skin. You may want to try a liquid foundation or tinted concealer, then a loose powder or Blot Powder. Like the first response, go see a MAC artist at the counter, they're great help :)What MAC Face Powder Works Best?
if you go to the mac counter, they will be happy to assist you and show you some options so you can pick while actually seeing the product.

You can use pressed powder either translucent or in the color of your skin tone. also, there are reletively cheap blotting papers that you can use also if you just want to get rid of the shinyness and not just cover it up.What do i do when my face i sweaty during the day? powder?
Do you often wear makeup, if your don't wear makeup, just wash your face throughout the day with a damp cloth or paper towel soaked in water, Soap isn't neccessary. Good Luck!
Wear a sweat and waterproof foundation like SeneGence!! it will stay on without seperating!

Does the new Matte BareMinerals powder actually keep your face less oily?

They now have come out with a Matte version of Bare Minerals.

    And I'm an oily gal...

Only answer if you've tried it and you're oily.Does the new Matte BareMinerals powder actually keep your face less oily?
I've used BM foundation for a long time, and it's matte. I don't think they make a powder; just foundation. The mineral veil takes the place of powder.

Is it true that putting baby powder on your face reduces facial oil?

does this contribute to pore clogging or is it harmless for pimples? Is it true that putting baby powder on your face reduces facial oil?
Baby powder is very safe and I know models who prefer it over cosmetic powers.

It does not clog pores and will absorb the excess oils, but it tends to make you look white, which some people prefer.

I had a difficult time finding it without the disgusting smell, but in the US you should be able to find a fragrance free one in any drug store. Is it true that putting baby powder on your face reduces facial oil?

What do you think of a guy who wears powder foundation on his face?

For instance, Marilyn Manson (who I think is extremely sexy) can pull it off.

It's alright. Everyone has there reasoning. For instance, my father didn't like it but I put powder foundation on his head when I took there pictures for my parents anniversary. Is it bad to sleep with a little bit of face powder on?

Its white makeup for a more pale complexionIs it bad to sleep with a little bit of face powder on?
Never sleep with makeup on - it is the best way to cause breakouts.

Wash face before bed, always. Is it bad to sleep with a little bit of face powder on?
Why the hell would you wear powder to bed? It's not like someone is going to see you while you are sleeping.

And yes, it is bad to sleep with anything on your face on a regular basis. Having makeup on your face while sleeping at night means that skin regeneration becomes delayed. This means that over time, your skin will age faster. Also, wearing makeup at night can cause more acne issues, especially because there is a chance of sweating during sleep (either due to weather, too many blankets, bad dreams, etc). Your pillow keeps dead skin cells in there until you wash your pillow case, so not only will the sweat mix with the dead skin cells, but with the makeup as well.

No one cares how you look going to bed. Stop wearing face powder.

Actually, stop wearing face powder in general. If you want to wear a powder that matches your skin tone, go ahead. But wearing one to make your skin look paler, that's just absurd and looks so obvious and ridiculous.
no, but i would take it off, so it doesn't clog your pores. It may be face powder, but it still will find its way in there. Not like liquid though. Also, dont you want your face to feel fresh when you go to sleep?

    But, no. Its not bad.
well...its not BAD. but it CAN cause acne and all. i would advise not to... i know the feeling of not feeling like washing your face, but its worth getting up off your butt(:

ah! why would you hate your tan? hehe. a little color doesn't hurt.
What? I would not have guessed you ever had anything to do with make up? I can't help ya, cause I have no idea about anything in the make up world. Why can't you just wash your face off?
Your dirty make up filled face will get all over your pillow, all the bacteria will get on your face every night after every night creating more acne?

    wash your face every night
    It can clog your pores.

I got fed up with powder drying my skin..and it always seemed to break into little pieces and then it would get all over my makeup bag. i switched to airbrush makeup and i couldn't be happier. I use the dinair airbrush system and i love it! It covers extremely well and stays on for 8-12 hours. i try and let everyone i know about it because i am just so happy with it. I hope this helps..=)
I love bare minerals. It is kind of expensive, but you get three brushes, powder foundation, and blush. It also comes with a video to show you how to put it on.

Since that was so expensive i bought ulta powder foundation. It is not as good but it works.

If you have oily skin you should see a dermatologist he will give you something to dry it up. Any face wash with benzoil peroxide drys your face up.... then you dont even have to see a dermatologist.
TRY USING ELIZABETH ARDEN IT LOOKS DEAD ORIGINAL AND IT LOOKS A LOT BETTER THAN POWDER.OR TRY MAX FACTOR - MIRACLE TOUCH IT LOOKS LIKE YOU HAVEN'T GOT ANY MAKE UP ON . BOTH OF THEM DON'T RUB OF AND THEY LOOK DEAD NATURAL .
My favourite is MAC Studio Fix because it's oil absorbing and covers small flaws on your face. It's not too thick or too thin it's just right. I recommend applying it with a brush instead of the sponge that comes with it because I just think the sponge applies too much and absorbs alot of the product.
well ive also tried many powders but i have recently bought a powder from boots in the 17 range and is very good also its very cheap and people think thats its an expensive powder cuz its so good lol. x

My skin tends to breakout so easily. I have tried different brands of face powder but it still contribute further breakouts. What is the BEST face powder for oily, breakout prone skin?Need some help.?
Bare Minerals all the way!!!!! It may seem a bit expensive at first, but it lasts forever. It will improve the condition of your skin. It has a natural SPF in it. You never feel like you have any makeup on. It gives you the appearance of perfect skin. The foundation doubles as a concealer depending on the type of brush you apply it with. It's great!!!!! I've used it for almost 10 years now and would never put anything else on my face again!!!

Also, try Meaningful Beauty for your skin care!!! It is awsome.

Talk to your doctor about Benza Clin for your acne. If I have a pimple beginning to form, I dab a little on it, and the next morning the blemish is gone!!!! Amazing stuff!!!!What is the BEST face powder for oily, breakout prone skin?Need some help.?
Mineral Veil by Bare Minerals. It really takes away the oil and it does not cause breakouts.
get the mineral veil from bare minerals. It is all natural so you shouldn't break out, and it sucks up all the oil! You can use any kind of foundation with it, but your skin sounds a lot like mine, and I use the whole bare minerals line... But the mineral veil is key...

My skin used to be very oily and acne prone. I use Everyday Minerals, the Intensive Formula. My skin has been behaving so well that I cannot begin to tell you how happy I am. Try everydayminerals.com. The company sends samples for free. Your skin looks flawless with these minerals. The minerals also last on your skin all day, which is an absolute blessing for oily skin.
First I would start with a silicone primer. I use the Smashbox Photo Finish Primer, I also have oily skin. I also use the Bare Escentuals Mineral Viel when I am done applying my makeup- you can really tell a difference and it helps your makeup stay on much longer. good luck!
I like get even by Benefit cosmetics pressed powder
Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals (same product) has a 'beginners' kit that costs around 60 bucks - and it's got everything you need. They even do a demo on the TV ads that shows how the stuff doesn't break down in sweaty/oily situations - because there is no oil in the product! The base is a soft powder, and the colors are soft powders, you put them all on with brushes, and sort of 'seal' it with Mineral Veil. It all comes in the beginners kit; you just choose what color base you want/need by skin tone. And if you can't spend 60 bucks or don't want to invest that much in it without knowing if it works, for about the price of the stuff you've been trying, you can get sample kits on EBay, with enough to use for a week or longer (mine lasted a month, and I'm still using some of the eye colors almost a year later). I have really radical combination skin: my cheeks are dry and cracking, my noise is oily to the point of being damp looking :-( and the stuff stays on me and looks good until I take it off - which can be more than 12 hours on a work day, where I put it on at 5a.m. and don't get home till after 9 p.m. (I live 100 miles from my office and usually telecommute). I really recommend it!
use MAC's studio fix powder. it works for me and i have the same problem you do.

I put pressed powder on my face last night to cover some pimples?

and now i got home from school and where i put pressed powder its all sticky there. why is that the case and would i need to wipe that off and put some new powder thereI put pressed powder on my face last night to cover some pimples?
It is never good to apply make up at night before going to bed. you should be washing your face and applying moisturizers and creams to prevent flare ups or to help get rid of the ones you have. always remove old makeup, it may make the pimples worse.I put pressed powder on my face last night to cover some pimples?
    Well first off...

You shouldn't be applying makeup to any flareup at bedtime. It doesn't allow the skin to breathe which can cause further irritation to the blemish. The only thing you should be putting on your face at night is a medicated cream or moisturizer.

    As for your sticky situation...

That could be your skin reacting to the fact is hasn't had a chance to air out. The blemish is irritated which causes it to ';weep';. Just wash your makeup off, apply some medicated cream (anything with benzoyl peroxide or salicylic acid) and leave it alone!

    Hope this helped.
sorry to say, but the powder may be irritating your pimples. I would apply a warm, very soft washcloth to your face to wash off the powder. Check with your pharmacy what topical ointment he recommends. The last thing you want is an infection, and that powder puff may not be as clean as you think. If you don't have a soft washcloth, try using moist cotton swabs. Look for a medicated cover up like Clearasil.
Its probably because the pimples 'oozed' when the powder was on
Don't use powdered sugar next time.
... you don't wear makeup to bed!

My mate wants to know if it is ok to wear face powder to aerobics?

No, because your pores can be clogged. My mate wants to know if it is ok to wear face powder to aerobics?
I woldnt. My mate wants to know if it is ok to wear face powder to aerobics?
I would say it is ';OK'; but i dont know why you would want to... but to each their own.
NO! Your skin needs to breath when you exercise just like your lung!!!!
I see nothing wrong with wearing any type of makeup to an aerobic workout. It depends on what you're comfortable with and how much you sweat. If I had a severe sweating problem, I wouldn't bother with makeup until I was done with the workout. Wiping stuff off when you don't have to wastes makeup.
You can, but when you sweat a lot, it could get into your pores and clog them, which could result in pimples. But sometimes I forget to take my makeup off before a run, and it all turns out okay.

Best face illuminator, powder and bronzer with full coverage???

I need to buy new makeup and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on what the best face illuminator (or foundation), powder and bronzer were?! Preferably oil free, since my skin isn't always flawless. Are there any good makeup brands for all 3 of these? I don't mind spending the money on them if they work. I also would like something that's a little more sheek ( a ';glowing'; bronzer or powder) than matted. Thanks for your help!Best face illuminator, powder and bronzer with full coverage???
Hi, I'm a makeup artist at Sephora and would be happy to address your concern. I really love Laura Mercier's products. She is known for her ';flawless face'; line. There are 4 simple steps to achieve this look.

Step 1: Use Foundation Primer to smooth and prep the skin.

Step 2: Apply foundation. Choose the formula you like based on your skin type and the coverage that you want. To cover imperfections, I recommend a liquid foundation because it covers more. I would only wear this when I have many blemishes. On a daily basis I would wear a powder foundation.

Step 3: Apply concealer. Again, choose the formula you like based on your skin type and the coverage that you want.

Step 4: Use Loose Setting Powder. This will make the makeup last longer and adds a nice glow to your face.

The line is pricey, but the results are worth it. If you feel this is too costly for you, try Bare Escentuals. They have a Starter Kit that would be perfect for you to try. It is a great value too.

I would suggest going with Benefit for a face illuminator, they have a product called High Beam which is super awesome. It's a light pink liquid that can be worn alone or mixed into your foundation to give you a nice glowy and dewy look, not at all sparkly. For your powder and bronzer I would go with Cargo. I absolutely love Cargo's new Blu Ray powder, I find it gives me an airbrushed finish and excellent coverage. They also make great bronzers in both matte and shimmering formulas so you can play around and see what works best for you.
Simple. The NoHoGlo mineral foundation from LA Minerals. The On Stage illuminizer and their Bronzed Babe Bronzer. I use the Lit Up shade of the bronzer. It's soooo pretty!

The illuminizer is beautiful on. I wear it high on my cheekbones and close to my eyebrows.
