MAC cosmetics are amazing. Definitely drop by a counter and have them match your skin tone.
The trick to staying power however is for the most part in your skincare routine. You want to make sure that in your routine, after you wash your face, you apply a toner and moisturizer. Then, before you put on your foundation, you apply a primer, and thats really whats going to take your foundation through the day.

also, clinique water proof foundation works, and it really does last, like i went swimming and it still stayed on, so that would be your best bet.
