What is the best face powder?

I need a face powder to set my foundation and make it really matte looking. Preferably in a really light/translucent shade? The lower the price the better. If you could list pros and cons etc I'd really appreciate it. Also, bear in mind I'm from the UK

Thanks :)What is the best face powder?
Look for a good mineral makeup for that! A lot of women recommend Bare Minerals or Sheer Cover, but there are plenty of other VERY GOOD companies out there that make quality mineral makeup for a portion of their costs.

You can check out CoconutBayCosmetics.com or even do a quick search on eBay or Google for mineral makeup. Look for a sheer mineral veil to set your foundation -- minerals look great over mostly all foundations! Plus they're natural and won't cause any unnecessary stress to your face.

Good luck! What is the best face powder?
The Body Shop actually have a really good quality loose powder, if you use a powder brush to apply this it will give you that matte look you are looking for, and the brush will also prevent the powder looking cakey around your nose or chin. It may seem expensive but it's quite a big pot, it lasts me ages and I use it daily. It also has a plastic sifter so you don't waste any. Shade ';02'; is very light.

MAC do have a slightly better one, but it is more expensive which is not so good.

I have used many powders and by far the best one is deffo Maybelline New York's Dream Matte powder. It's a little expensive at £6.99 but worth every penny. It really does give you an airbrushed feel on your skin. It also has a handy compartment that you slide out from underneath which has a mirror and the applicator in it. V good.
a pricey one would be mineral veil by bare minerals. A cheaper one is the true match face powders. They do a very good job with theyre powders
