How can I avoid (or get rid of) the face powder residue?

How do i avoid (or get rid of) that face powder residue. It looks a bit like fuzz or little hairs. How can I avoid (or get rid of) the face powder residue?
Cleanse your face thoroughly. Apply the appropriate moisturizer for your skin type. If you use foundation, apply that before the powder. Once you are ready for powder, apply with a nice fluffy brush, then take a soft powder puff and buff your face gently to remove the excess. Once that is done, soak a washcloth in HOT water. Wring it out so it is just damp. Gently hold it to your face. Do NOT rub. Just hold it in place a moment. This will help ';set'; your powder and avoid that residue look. How can I avoid (or get rid of) the face powder residue?
You may be using too much powder OR it may be a bit too light.

Try a shade darker. Also, use a brush instead of that little pad they give you in compact powders. The brush gives a lighter finish.
Put on lotion every night
buy sweet almond oil and rub a couple drops on your face after you put on powder. Then blot the oil with the towel

You could also use a really trustworthy moisturizer like aveeno 24 hour moisturizer.

I use the oil every morning and it doesn't clog your pores
